1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TikiRead ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. How TikiRead Works

TikiRead is a points-based review exchange for Amazon books. Publishers post bounties; reviewers claim them, read the book, and submit a link to their published Amazon review. Points move when reviews are verified — not as cash.

We use an indirect exchange model: you are not paired in a one-to-one swap with the same person whose book you reviewed. That helps keep exchange patterns consistent with fair, independent reviewing.

All reviews must be honest. You must read the book and reflect your genuine opinion. Incentivized reviews are allowed only when they comply with applicable rules, including Amazon's Community Guidelines; you are responsible for your own compliance.

Reviewers must read the entire book before writing their review. Submitting a review without reading the book is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of all points.

3. Points System

• Points are not money and have no cash value. They cannot be redeemed for cash except as may be explicitly offered by us in writing in the future.
• As stated in our product experience, points do not expire while your account remains in good standing, unless we notify you otherwise.
• Points are non-transferable to other users or third parties except as built into the Service (e.g., spending points to post bounties).

4. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Post or coordinate fake, misleading, or defamatory reviews
• Operate multiple accounts to abuse the system, claim bounties, or evade limits
• Manipulate the platform, including attempts to game verification, points, or matching
• Submit fake or placeholder URLs, or URLs that are not your genuine Amazon review
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users or third parties
• Submitting a review without reading the book in full
• Writing a review that does not reflect your genuine opinion
• Copying, plagiarizing, or using AI to generate review text
• Coordinating with publishers on review content or star ratings

We may investigate reports and take action, including removing content and restricting accounts.

5. Legal Liability

By using TikiRead, you acknowledge that submitting fake, plagiarized, or AI-generated reviews may violate federal law including the FTC Act and Amazon's Terms of Service. TikiRead is not responsible for any legal action taken against users who violate these terms. Users who submit fraudulent reviews may be subject to civil or criminal liability. TikiRead reserves the right to report fraudulent activity to the appropriate authorities and to cooperate fully with any investigation.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, pose a risk to others or the platform, or as required by law. Upon termination for cause, unused points may be forfeited as described at termination — you should not rely on points after serious violations. You may close your account from settings at any time; see our Privacy Policy for data handling.

TikiRead is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon. Amazon is a trademark of Amazon.com, Inc. You are solely responsible for complying with Amazon's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and any applicable policies when posting or soliciting reviews. We provide tools for coordination; we do not guarantee any particular outcome on Amazon.

8. Amazon Review Policy & Liability

TikiRead operates as an indirect review exchange platform. Reviewers earn points for completing honest reviews and publishers spend points to receive them. TikiRead does not guarantee, promise, or imply any specific review outcome.

By using TikiRead, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of TikiRead complies with Amazon's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
• TikiRead is not liable for any consequences resulting from your use of the platform, including but not limited to account suspension, review removal, or any penalties imposed by Amazon.
• All reviews submitted through TikiRead must be honest and reflect the reviewer's genuine opinion.
• Publishers may not request, incentivize, or pressure reviewers to leave positive reviews.
